Color Craze

My favorite trend this season is color.  Every spring, color is what we look forward to but the color trend this year is different- it’s more extreme, intense & dramatic.  Color can be seen in every piece of clothing & jewelry this season.  It’s like someone shook a bottle of rainbow & it exploded everywhere!

First, bright colors are in every article of clothing this season and they’re all mixed & matched.  You can wear a pair of pink pants, an orange top, and carry an aqua colored handbag.  I feel like the world of fashion is walking in a color block clothing catalogue from the1970’s. What could be better than a vibrant wardrobe to brighten your everyday life?

Then there’s the pastel color palette where it’s a Katie Perry ‘California Girls’ Candyland world.  How sweet!   Soft pinks, light blues, corals and fresh mint define this pastel trend.

Here are some great looks that are fun & easy to put together so you too can inject color into your wardrobe.

1) Kerri is wearing a mint tiered Pink Martini dress. Mint is the “it” pastel color this season.
2) Morag from www.yorkprofessionalpetsitting.com is wearing a bright orange cardigan & tank.  Orange is the strongest bright color this year.
3) 7 for all mankind neon pink jeans. Colored jeans are a ‘must have’ this season.  It’s the best way to update your wardrobe.

Don’t be afraid to wear color. Try something new even if it’s a colorful scarf, nail polish or a piece of jewelry.  Start small then gradually add more color.  You’ll see adding color to your wardrobe get’s addictive.  Find out how to put color pieces together by reading my October article ‘How to combine colours in your outfit’ on our website www.lemonberry.ca.
