How to Layer Necklaces

Posted on 24 February 2021

Layering necklaces are a big trend right now.  However, figuring out how to layer these necklaces together may prove to be a little difficult.  I'll show you some easy steps on how to do it.  By the end of this post, you will be an expert ;)

Here is a chart with the different lengths of necklaces to choose from. Wearing 1 to 4 necklaces at a time seems to be the norm when layering.  Use this chart below as a reference when layering.

I'll show you some combinations of 2 - 4 layers to start you off.

2 Layers: 2 Layers is the most popular combo.

This 16" + 18" necklace combo is really cute. In the below picture, you can get the top necklace Esmee Necklace here. The bottom necklace is the Figaro Necklace here.

This is another example of a 2 Layer necklace with a 15"+ 18'. You can find this top necklace, Naomi, here & the 18" Rosa pendant here.

I love this look too from Michaela Babuskova of FIGTNY. Which you can use Naomi & Muse

Or this look - top necklace you can use the Esmee necklace here. Bottom Lovelock necklace here.

3 Layers: The most popular layering trend is 14" + 15"+16".

You can get the top Taylor necklace here The other chains are Figaro and Esmee.

Here is another cute combo 16"+18"+ 20"- Similar to the first 3 layer necklace. We don't have the top necklace but you can use the Esmee chain necklace. The 2nd necklace down is the Love Token necklace and the bottom is the round Love Token necklace but you can also use this Zodiac Coin necklace. Don't be afraid to mix & match with different charms too.

4 LayersThis is a 4 layer combo with a charm necklace incorporated. The necklaces you can use for this 4 layer are these: Figaro,  MuseEsmeeFloatesse,  Love Token, Zodiac Coin, and other jewelry.

You can wear the above necklace combo with a longer charmed necklace instead of the shorter one.

As you can see, there are many ways to wear your necklaces layered.  I just gave a few examples to get started.  Have fun with it & try different combinations to see which one suits you best.
