Garlic Scapes Pesto Pasta

Garlic Scapes Pesto Pasta

We planted garlic in the fall last year and they came up nice and strong this spring. Garlic scapes grow out the top center part of the plant. Once it curls around about twice, I've been told that's a good time to harvest them.  Which I did - then I was trying to figure out what to do with them. I decided to try a garlic scapes pesto, & it turned out so delicious I wanted to share it with you!

Here is the recipe:
- 8 Garlic scapes cut into 1 inch pieces

- 1/4 cup Walnuts.

- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 Parmasean
- Basil

Mix all ingredients in a blender and stir into you favourite pasta.
Done!

Enjoy....It's delicious!
