Eco Aspects of our Brands 🍃

I'm the first person to say that it's really challenging to be Eco.   [Eco - eco-friendly, environmentally friendly, green, sustainable, minimal, zero waste, reduce carbon foot print, no harm to eco-systems, etc.]  I still buy a coffee in those through away cups; and my kids may still get plastic straws at restaurants or fast food places.  BUT, I do want to learn how to change that and I'm on my way.

I want to put in more eco-friendly, Canadian, non-toxic, sustainable & vegan products/lines in the store.   It's been tough but we're slowly doing it.  I will put list of lines we carry and include what the eco aspects in line.

In addition, the PU they use is recycled and water-based to offer the most sustainable version of this fabric. The properties of PU are very close to those of real leather in terms of durability, water resistance, and aesthetics. It is lightweight, easy to maintain, and has a soft and supple hand feel. Their monogram lining material is made from rPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate), a fabric produced with recycled plastic bottles. They are also socially responsible and transparent with their manufactoring.

Smash + Tess - is a clothing company based in Vancouver. The owners are a mother-daughter-bestie trio that wanted to focus on slowing down fast fashion. One of their biggest motivations for starting Smash + Tess was a gap in the pyjama market.  Some of their over seas manufactures methods include using renewable energy sources, recycling natural resources throughout the certified production process, and ensuring that what is put back into the environment is as clean and free of pollutants as possible.  Some of their overseas partners also have the following certifications:
